Climbing Higher Award

Ian's school recognizes students each week in a small assembly in areas that they have excelled at. The first time they receive the award they get a pennant and each additional time they get a pin to put on their pennant. This is Ian's second time receiving the award. He was recognized for working hard in his class.

This is Ian with the principle receiving his award!

Good Job Ian...you make us proud!

Chocolate Craving!

The other night I had a horrible chocolate craving so I made this:

Can you say, better than brownies, better than pie, better than cake, and so easy to make to - here's the recipe:

1-1/4 pkg. (10 squares) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate
1/2 cup whipping cream
4 eggs
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup flour
1 cup thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping
PREHEAT oven to 325°F. Place chocolate in large microwaveable bowl. Add whipping cream. Microwave on HIGH 2 min. or until chocolate is almost melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well blended; cool slightly.
ADD eggs, sugar and flour; beat with wire whisk until well blended. Pour into lightly greased 9-inch pie plate.
BAKE 35 min. or until outer half of pie is puffed and center is slightly soft; cool. Serve topped with the whipped topping.

Nothing to report on

O.K., So I'm officially stumped, I haven't had anything to report on for awhile, so this will probably be the most boring post ever. After over 3 weeks of "off-track" time, Ian went back to school on Monday. I had mixed feelings about year-around school, but I have to admit that I really look forward to his little breaks. He's such a good helper, and we had so much fun going to Wyoming for a few days, going to the Children's museum with his cousins, going swimming and the best part was that we got to sleep in and stay in our jammies as long as we wanted to. Ian is such a good helper and is so willing to take care of Morgan (as long as he gets some sort of payment) when I need him to. I'm looking forward to his summer break!

On another note...I'm planning Morgan's first Birthday party (UGH)! Why does it seem like your pregnant FOREVER and then when they finally come out they are turning 1 the next day! I keep thinking about how nervous, anxious, excited, elated & scared I was last year at this time, was I really finally going to have a baby, I most definitely looked pregnant and felt pregnant, but was it really really going to happen this time? Even up to the moment I had her, I was still unsure whether it was for real or not, because I had waited 5 long years and my body had played tricks on me before, so why should this time be for real? Morgan is our miracle baby! I'm looking forward to watching her grow and grow and grow this next year, but PLEASE don't grow too fast!
