Half Marathon!

Jeff completed his 2nd half marathon in my home town on the 4th of July. Last year he walked, but this year he decided he was going to run. He did an awesome job! Now his training starts for the St. George Marathon!

Jeff is the one on the left in white - Ian and Matt (his brother who had already finished the race) finished the race with him to cheer him on!

Yay...he's done and ready for a nice rest.

Much to my dismay Jeff decided to give Ian a mohawk the other night...luckily it lasted all of 5 minutes and they had fun playing with the idea and taking pictures. Boys!!!

Ian had a hard time making a mean face

He's liking his 5 minute new do!

Field Trip

Ian only has about a month before he starts 4th grade. I've been trying to cram a bunch of things for us to do while he's on his short summer break that doesn't cost a lot of money. We recently got a membership to the pool and fitness center so we can go swimming anytime we want. Ian is also taking swim lessons and will finish on Thursday, but I'll sign him up for the next level. On Monday we didn't have anything going on so I thought it would be fun to take him to Wheeler Farm. It's an old historical farm with wagon rides, a duck pond, horses, cows (very smelly), pigs & chickens. When I first mentioned to Ian that we should take a field trip to Wheeler farm he wasn't too excited, come to find out later it was because of the smell. He said as long as we weren't by the cows it was an o.k. place to be. Morgan had fun looking at the geese and seemed puzzled by their honking abilities. Here are some pictures of our field trip to the farm!

Take me out to the ball game

On Saturday we went to the Salt Lake Bees Baseball game. We had an awesome time, although the guys sitting directly behind us were a little sketchy and kept dropping the F bomb several times (next time I'll remember the earplugs for my kids). Ian never said anything about it, so I hope he was too interested in the game to tune them out, but I had a hard time tuning them out and got an earful. They talked non-stop about anything and everything from how one that that his ex-girlfriends oldest daughter was his daughter for sure and not the other guys, and how he had 3 lawsuits he was dealing with and how he got hit by an old lady on her way to church last week while he was riding his bike...blah, blah, blah. I can't wait to go to another game but hopefully next time we'll sit in front of "normal" people.

Waiting in line for tickets!

A Fun Day at the Park!

I have been trying to upload these photos to my blog for over a week now. My computer had some spyware issues and I don't know if that caused the pictures not to upload correctly, but after trying over and over and over they finnally made it. YAY!!!!

Morgan enjoying herself on the swing

Ian is such a big helper with Morgan...he adores her and loves to play with her!

Morgan always knows when she's getting her picture taken...she loves hamming it up!

After years of practice Ian has mastered his skills on the monkey bars!

Hair Hair Everywhere

I've been losing my hair rapidly for nearly a year now. I have to sweep the bathroom floor daily and Morgan has learned that when she finds a hair in between her fingers or in her mouth to give it to me...YUCK. I've googled the subject and found that it's "normal" for your hair to go through cycles of hair loss. It could be hormonal or I'm just going bald. I'm tempted to where a hair net in the kitchen so I don't accidentally get hair in our food (Jeff found a hair in his chocolate chip cookie last week), GROSS. When I was pregnant with Morgan I don't remember having my hair fall out at all and it grew so thick, so I guess that's probably why it's falling out. I sure hope that I don't have to start using Rogaine soon.
